about your stay
The cabins are sited on a waterway and coastal protection area. It is home to birds and mammals including the Forty-spotted Pardalote, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo and the Bennett's Wallaby. Over 30% of the site has been left untouched, and the rest of the site has been re-vegetated with native trees and grasses to support the island’s ecology.
The cabins are designed and built with a strong focus on sustainability. Passive solar heating warms the cabins over winter and natural cross-currents cools them down in summer.
Designed for comfort, the cabins have everything you will need to unwind and also feel right at home. It is equipped with a kitchenette suitable for preparing small meals. The cabins open out into a deck with private and shared areas. On clear nights, stargaze from the deck and spot the occasional shooting star.
The cabins are fitted with furniture and art from a variety of designers and makers. Each room has a major artwork by Tasmanian artist Amber Koroluk-Stephenson and a coffee table custom-designed and made by Sydney-based industrial-designers So Watt.
